Hi, I’m Ice Coach. I write Ice Coach Blog as a guide for figure skating parents, coaches, skaters or anyone who wants to understand rink culture. I’m new to blogging, but have been skating for over 15 years and teaching skating for over 10 years. I am joining Ice Mom, Ice Girl and Synchro Mom to share my experiences good and bad with others in the Figure Skating world.

I have a three year old Pomeranian. I work a full time job, direct a Learn to Skate program, chair a Learn to Skate Competition, teach group lessons and coach private lessons.  In my free time, well I don’t have any. However I will find time to write this blog because I believe its going to be a very useful tool to compare opinions with Ice Mom, Ice Girl, Synchro Mom and you!

Now for the disclaimer. All posts on this site are strictly my opinion. It is not necessarily the right or wrong answer. My blog is a tool to help you learn. I don’t consider myself an expert in skating, but I love learning new things, and sharing ideas. I am a member of the PSA, USFS and regularly attend their seminars. It is not my intent to tell you how to do things. Only offer my opinion. My job is not to change your technique or how you are skating.  Always consult your own Ice Coach with concerns.
